What was the highlight of Hotel Anteroom Kyoto
Value for money, well-maintained and friendly hotel.
The lobby and common areas of the hotel are really neat and well-maintained with some cool art & features like the printer, speaker and arcade game. The rooms are decent for Japanese standard and the bathrooms had great water pressure. The beds were comfortable and the added desk in the room was a great feature. There was enough space to have my luggage open on the floor as well. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel felt a bit distant from some of the action of Kyoto. It would often require a bus or subway ride for 20-30mins to get somewhere. The breakfast wasn't amazing and despite them asking for you to choose a timeslot, when I arrived there wasn't much food left in the buffet. The rooms weren't soundproof and I could often here guests coming past, closing their doors or talking in the hallway.

It’s a very fine hotel, with an art gallery and a beautiful lobby. The breakfast is great and has a lot to chose from: diverse vegetables, eggs, sweets, cereals and drinks. The rooms are clean and comfortable, plus each one has AC and a TV.
